First Day of School!

I know I am way late posting this but better late than never right?

The girls started a charter school this year called Syracuse Arts Academy. They love it! It is about 10 minutes away and they get to have a dress code. They can wear tan or navy pants, skorts, shorts or jumpers. They can wear white, red, navy or dark green collared shirts. It makes it much easier on deciding what to wear to school. I think it is a good idea to have a dress code so there isn't as much comparing, teasing, fads, and other things that go along with wearing whatever. I have been making them some fun bows to wear also.
Heidi is in 5th grade, Candace is in 3rd grade and Natalie is in Kindergarten. She loves telling people that she goes to Syracuse Arts Academy and that Ms. Beier is her teacher and that Sara is her first name...there is another Sara in her class and that she has an Aunt Sara. She always tells me that she isn't crazy at school like she is at home. Every day when I pick them up Natalie is quick to tell me that she had recess and any other special she had like computer or art. They are really enjoying it. We do have to drive them to and from but isn't too bad. I take advantage of waiting in the carpool line to pick them up with little things I can do in the car.

Who doesn't want a doughnut?

Chris and I were in the mood for a snack tonight. Chris asked me what I wanted and I decided that I was in the mood for a Krispy Kreme doughnut. Chris went to get them while the girls were finishing watching a movie before bed. They must've not seen him carry them in when he got home because later when I was sitting at the table Heidi walked in and asked where they came from. I told her the Krispy Kreme restaurant. She asked if I went and got them. I told her no. She asked if Grandma Heki went and got them and we said no. She asked if we ordered them and I told her that you can't order doughnuts. She seemed really confused. Grandma Heki told her that Santa brought them. I told her that daddy had went and got them and still seemed confused (I don't know why). She asked if she could have one and I told her that kids couldn't have doughnuts at 10:00 at night. (I know, the kids have been going to bed late lately). SHe said she wasn't a kid, she was a decade old. I still told her no, that she could have one for breakfast. Erika walked in and saw the box. SHe asked if she could have one and I told her for breakfast she could in the morning. She pleaded and I still told her no. I took her back into her room to tuck her in and she asked if it was morning. I laughed and told her no. She said she had to go see. I didn't follow her but I assume she went to look out the window. Needless to say, I think we might have some early risers in the morning!!

Memorial Day 2009

For Memorial Day we went to 3 cemetaries to put flowers on graves. We first went to Provo and stopped at Pioneer Park for our picnic lunch. THe girls also played on the playground. This is a special park because my Grandma Harding grew up right by it and my mom came here often as a child. After the cemetaries we went home and had a BBQ. It was a fun day together!
This is my sister Maelene's grave who only lived 13 hours. I believe she would have had brown hair like me. All of my other siblings have blonde hair.
This was my brother that was born after Sara. He was stillborn. I was surprised when I saw this because I had forgotten that my parents had gotten this last year.

Natalie actually fell asleep. Amazing for her since she is our energizer bunny.

Oh Natalie!

Natalie was supposed to be getting her pajamas on one night and came in like this. I hurried to take the picture before I told her to get them on the right way. She is so funny. You have to admit that she was clever at how she got the "pants" to stay.

My flowers!

Well, I love flowers. Last fall I quickly planted 72 bulbs before it snowed. Here are the results:

Heidi is 10! Wow!

Well, Heidi's birthday was April 18. She's ten years old now. Wow! I can hardly believe it. She is so smart (reading on 8th grade level), she loves to cook, sew, read and have special time with mom and dad. She got to have a friend party since it was an even year so we had a pinata and they painted those things you hang in a window. They had a great time! They also had a balloon fight, played outside and we as a family went to IHOP for dinner. The waiters sang to her and she got kind of embarrassed but loved the free ice cream dessert.
Happy Birthday Heidi. We love you and you are wonderful!!

9 months old!

Well, it is official. Matthew is 9 months old as of yesterday. He is such a good natured and good baby that it is very hard to believe he is that old already. He is crawling now, sitting up, and has one tooth on the bottom. His smile just melts your heart. He has his first ear infection this week due to a cough last week given to him by his sisters. How sharing huh!?! Anyway, he is doing well and is so sweet! Here are some current pictures of him:
