Some more pictures at Scarecrow Festiva!

The girls also got their faces painted.

Fall Break!

The girls had Fall Break (used to be UEA) on Oct. 14-15. We went down to Thanksgiving Point in Lehi for the Scarecrow Festival on the Friday. THe girls had a lot of fun jumping in the trampoline thingees, going in a junior haunted house, getting balloons made for them, making rockets and shooting them off, watching daddy climb a wall, riding on a train, having cotton candy, and going in the craft boutique. (That's where I had the most fun. he he :) ) We then went over to my friend Sonja's house and had a yummy dinner and pie with their family. Thanks again Sonja! We became friends in Arizona and then both moved to Utah. She has 4 boys. She is one of my role models. It was a fun day and I think the girls (and Matthew ) will remember it for a long time. Well, maybe Matthew will just have to look at the pictures later. We will probably go again next year!!

First snow of 2008 season!

Well, we had our first snow of the 2008 winter season a few weeks ago which quickly melted. I wasn't ready snow yet. WE haven't had fall yet. The girls had a blast in it.

Handsome Matthew!

Matthew is 4 months old and so handsome. He is a real good-natured baby and loves when people talk to him and smile at him. He is in the 85th percentile for height and 75th for weight. He weighs 15 lbs. 10 oz. (at last weigh in).

Matthew's blessing!

Matthew was blessed on August3rd. It was such a wonderful day. Chris did a great job and we had many of our family with us there to share our beautiful day. My mom and dad got him his white shoes and socks and Chris' mom got him his blessing outfit. Isn't he handsome? Here are some pictures:

Candace's 7th birthday!

We went miniature golfing as a family for her birthday. THey loved it. She received a Mrs. Potato Head, a princess accessory for MRs. Potato Head, an electronic toothbrush, a pediatrician barbie with 2 babies (which Erika loves), and a new outfit. Her birthday was July 18. I am a little behind blogging. She is such a cutie. Her cake was an elephant. We have a fun cake book. We used an ice cream cone for the trunk. She also is starting piano lessons now that she is 7. She is so excited for piano. SHe has been asking me for months when she could start. Hopefully that means she will love to practice and do really well. She is in 2nd grade now and loves it. Her teacher's name is Miss Archibeque. What a name huh! Candace loves to read, do crafts, play on the computer, ride her bike and scooter, and play.

Natalie's 4th birthday party!

Natalie turned 4 on July 9. She got a friend party since she was turning an even number. We did a pinata, played stick the nose on the smiley face and played on the outside toys. She had a great time. I can hardly believe she is 4. They grow up so fast. We gave her a scooter, a doll that pees, a two-sided floor puzzle, and a microphone to sing into. She is so funny. The other day she said, "Mom, can I hold baby Matthew?" "Say yes, because I like him".

My parents came over that night to eat spaghetti (Natalie's choice) with us and have cake. It was a fun birthday for her. That night I asked her, "Natalie, did you have a good birthday?" She said, "Yes mom, thank you." What more can you ask from a 4 year old than that?

Matthew's first bath!

Matthew enjoyed most of his first bath. He doesn't like getting undressed and he doesn't like the water on his head. He (like every baby) smells so good after his bath.

Matthew's birthday!

I forgot to mention in the last post that Matthew was born on June 18. He has dark hair and looks like Chris. He is a very good baby so far. Here are some more pictures:

Matthew Christopher Heki is here!!

Well, Matthew had turned head down by last Monday which I was so glad about. I went Tuesday late afternoon to the doctor and they put a fully catheter(how do you spell that?) in me to wear over night to help me dilate. It was really weird. I was supposed to have contractions which I didn't. I didn't think it worked but apparently it did because when I went in the next day to be induced I was dilated to between a 3-4. I was very surprised. The hospital was full of inductions so they didn't call me to come in until 11:30 am. Anyway since I was that dilated that far, it didn't take the 12-13 hours of labor that I usually have. He was born at 5:08 pm. He was 8 lb. 7 oz. and 22 in. long. That makes him bigger that all of his sisters. He is doing well and so am I. It was so nice having such a short labor and I didn't have to have an episiotomy and I didn't tear. Yea!!

The girls love him exuberantly of course. Here are a few pictures of him:
